[What You Should Order At...] Rachel's Taqueria

You may or may not have noticed that every single regular column that we've tried to get up in here has failed terribly because of the fact that we all have the attention span of a goldfish and, as Erica has kept harping, BLOGGING IS HARD

But, we're nothing if not pesistent, so, BOOM: introducing [WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER AT...] a new food column designed in kind for your opinionated asses and our lazy asses.  We're going to pick one Park Slope resto a week and recommend our favorite dish at each.  YOU KNOW YOU WANNA WEIGH IN.  You know you want to tell me I'm an asshole because I like the fried fennel at Thistle Hill Tavern or the pumpkin cheesecake at Stone Park Cafe.  WHAT WAS I THINKING?

So, what should you order at Rachel's Taqueria?

Park Slope Valentine's Day Resto Roundup

Where are you gonna spend the most romantic evening OF YOUR LIFE? VALENTINE'S DAY!?

Seriously, the quality of your Valentine's Day dinner could make or break your marriage. Or maybe even get you engaged if you're still waiting for your BF to put a ring on it (like me). We’ve rounded up the nabe's most delish sounding Valentine’s Day menus, so take a look and make your rezzies! Hopefully your date won’t be ruined by BREEDERS who bring their kiddos with them (which I am totally gonna do, FYI).

Now, before you get all up in arms about how I left out this place or that place –– HOLD UP. I’ll have you know HELLA restaurants don’t have their special menus online (I’m looking at you, al di la). So if you feel like I’ve totes rejected your fave spot, feel free to post a link to their Valentine’s menu in the comments!

ALSO. Something to think about on your date: The scene in Flashdance where Alex gives Nick a foot job at the dinner table.

GOOD BAR FOOD IN PARK SLOPE?

So, it's 2AM and you have drank 47 beers.

You need to eat something, or you're going to make some big mistakes.

Your big mistakes could include, but aren't limited to:

1. Getting into a fight with your wife

2. Getting "smart" (as my grandfather would say) with a police officer

3. Puking everywhere

So, what bar should you plant your ass in for last call and some good grub?

PARK SLOPE PPL: PSBklyn Executive Chef

Everyone: meet your neighbors. Park Slope Lens aims to photograph and document every last mofo in Park Slope. Or at least all the interesting ones.

Meet Adam Goldgell. He's the executive chef at PSbklyn. This cookster takes your classic American favs and spins them with influences from all over the world. What does he do outside of making your dinner? Well for starters he collects cookbooks (over 2,000 and counting). He also admits a weakness for poker.

PSbklyn goes live on February 11th.

OPENING: PSbkyln

Photo via Park Slope Lens

Just when you thought Park Slope was only home to shuttering storefronts and 750 bagel shops, behold!  PSbklyn, a new restaurant taking over Bussaco's old space on Union Street, is opening this week, and sounds like it will be a mecca for parents and their children and a place to be avoided by everyone else.  Like, on a Two Boots scale.
