Kimchi Taco Coming To Park Slope?

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let this little tidbit be true.

An industrious FIPS reader was doing some research on the Kimchi Korean BBQ Taco Truck, and came across this little interesting nugget on their website:

WHOA!

We could seriously use some Korean BBQ all up in this bitch!

And while they're menu isn't gigantic, shit still looks damn good. They have:

+ Kimchi Tacos w/grilled Korean BBQ Beef, Braised Pork, Pulled Chicken, and Tofu Edamame Falafel.

+ Fresh Kimchi Bowls, which are apparently a healthy version of a burrito minus a tortilla with a protein and some kimchi.

+ And a Kim-Cheesesteak w/ a choice of protein, kimchi and traditional cheez whiz on an Italian Hoagie Roll.

There are also some interesting sides including kimchi arancini, chips-n-beans, and spicy rice cakes.

We reached out to Kimchi Taco for some clarifcation but did not hear back. So for now, we're keepin' hope alive.

UPDATE: Kimchi got in touch and had this to say: "It's true we are coming to Brooklyn (bordering on Park Slope) in Prospect Heights.  It's really a short walk to our location/restaurant, and we're hoping to provide heavy delivery traffic to Park Slope."

Based on this Brooklynian thread, it seems like their location is likely on Washington btwn Park and Sterling.

The plot thickens.

[WHO GIVES A SHIT] How Often Do You Order In?

In your fantasy life, you come home every night after work and cook yourself a delicious, nutrituous meal.  You don't answer work emails and you interact with your loved ones rather than ignoring them in favor of shitty reality TV and your ex-girlfriend's Twitter feed.

But this is REAL LIFE, David After the Dentist, and you skip the gym, ignore your family, and order greasy take out food, right?

No shame.  What we wanna know is: how much do you do it on an average week?

[WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER AT...] Jpan Sushi

WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER AT... is a recurring column designed in kind for your opinionated asses and our lazy asses.  We're going to pick one Park Slope resto a week and recommend our favorite dish at each.  Are we right?  Are we wrong?  YOU KNOW YOU WANNA WEIGH IN.

Ah, New York City: the land of sushi (so THAT's what smells).  I'm not going to say that Jpan has the best sushi in the whole entire city, but it's definitely some of the best sushi in the neighborhood, so maybe that's why it feels like I have to take out a second mortgage every time I order from there.

See what I did there?  It's FUNNY because I could never ever own an apartment in this neighborhood unless I killed a wealthy dowager and stole all of her money.  Why haven't I killed a wealthy dowager yet, you ask?  When am I going to step up and take control of my life, you want to know?  BECAUSE: I'm still a little unclear as to what a "dowager" actually is.

COUNTRY LIVING MAG WONDERS: HOW ADORABLE IS BROOKLYN??

Oh look guyz! Country Living Magazine thinks Brooklyn has lots of small town charms!

"With its mom-and-pop shops, bluegrass joints, and working farms, this borough offers small-town charm smack-dab in the middle of New York City."

BROOKLYN IS SO FUCKING ADORABLE!

The Tonios Mystery

Ok, honestly I don't get it: Why is NO ONE ever, ever, ever, never in Tonios?

I used to live a block away, and so would go to this Italian joint on 7th Ave btwn 8th/7th streets all the time. While the menu is certainly not creative, or nouveaux anything, there is some good, traditional, basic Italian food to be had here. And yet every time I go, we are usually one of two tables there!? I srsly don't get it.

Places like Tutta Pasta are packed every time I walk by...or Aunt Suzie's. And I'd rather do puke shooters followed by crusty dog poop chasers than ever go to either one of those restaurants.

So, WHY DON'T YOU EVER GO TO TONIO'S PARK SLOPE?? TELL ME NOW!
