So remember that time where we had a reader survey because we wanted your valuable demographic information to have a better understanding of the people who are reading us every day?

The results are in. 

After writing for FIPS for the better part of three years, I had a pretty good idea about the readership that we attract.

1. People who are smart, funny, and snarky.

2. Crazy idiots.

Unfortunately, we didn't include some of the questions that I wanted to include, like "Are you a crazy idiot?" and "Do you understand what the word 'satire' means?" 

Instead, we're left with some pretty interesting demographic information that was sort of surprising to me because I generally believe that most stereotypes are true.

WHO GIVES A SHIT: Do You Care About Restaurant Health Grades?

I mean, I know we all sort of *mildly* care about them, but also: this is NYC. Even places that get an A probably still have mice, and bugs, and all sorts of other violations.

But are you not gonna go to a place anymore where you actually like the food if they get a B or a C?

I figured the awesome FIPS staff might know this answer: I have been working from home for the past 6 months and just realized I really miss having co-workers. Do you know if there are any official (or under the radar) groups of fellow Park Slope work-from-home-rs that get together to hang on their "lunch breaks"? WHO GIVES A SHIT: What's Your Fave New Food Addition To the Nabe?

So, a ton of new shit has moved into The Slope lately. In case you need a memory refresh sesh, we've got Ha Noi, Sky Ice, Culture (Erica's own pear ginger maple yogurt in le pic), Surfish, South Brooklyn Pizza, Der Komissar, Butter Lane and more (and no, I'm not putting Cheeburger on this list).
