WHO GIVES A SHIT: Your Best Park Slope End of Days Meal?

IMAGE VIA PARK SLOPE LENS

Ok, ppl: time to hop to it!

In case you can't afford a NY Times digital subscription, we're here to tell you that the world is ending tomorrow! And so to celebrate our last day on Earth together before we're all welcomed into God's kingdom, or Jesus's or whatever, we thought it might be fun to create the ultimate Park Slope end of days meal.

The only rules are: there are none! You can create all elements of your meal from totally diff spots around the nabe...or anywhere really. THE WORLD IS FUCKING ENDING! DO WHATEVER THE HELL YOU WANT!

Ok, we'll go first:

Me:

  • I'd start off with a cheese plate appetizer from Blue Apron. I have no idea what cheese to include, as I always just walk in that joint and have the cheese person suggest shit. I just do what they tell me.
  • I would move out all the furniture in my apartment, and just fill it with as many cases of Diet Coke as there are in Key Food...if they'll deliver, of course.
  • Then for our main course I'd have a burger from Dram Shop...medium rare (duh). Does Dram have onion rings? If not I can get em at Five Guys.
  • Dessert would be a combo platter of Robicelli's cupcakes from Crespella; donuts from 7th Ave Donuts and a gigantic barrel of Culture's flavor-of-the-day (I don't even care what it is, cause every day is better than the last) with the vermont maple toppings.
  • Oh, and then like 4 packets of Devil Dogs from the news stand on 7th Ave in between Union and Garfield, just cuz.

Meredith:

  • A cappuccino from Grumpy.
  • A Mother-in-Law salad from Anthony's.
  • And some massive, Jewish, highly-caloric bagel sandwich creation from La Bagel.
  • Oh, and Eggs in Purgatory from 12th Street Bar and Grill.

Allison:

  • Bread pudding from Sweet Melissa's
  • A sticky bun from Trois Pommes
  • Pupusas and rice & beans from El Continental
  • Cold cuts from Blue Apron
  • Olives and cheese from the Park Slope Food Coop [ed. note: the world is fucking ending and you wanna go stand in line at the Coop???].
  • Polenta from Al di La.
  • Fish from Moim.
  • A sandwich from Hanco's.

Kerri:

  • Mussels in chili basil broth from Song.
  • Fried chicken from Sidecar.
  • Filet mignon from Benchmark.
  • Italian ice from Uncle Louie G's.

Ninedaves:

  • Hands down, a sandwich from City Sub.

Parowpyro:

  • When the world's being consumed by great balls of fire, I'm having as many jerk bbq chicken littles from Atomic Wings as possible & 7-8 growlers of beer from Bierkraft.

Amanda:

  • Frozen yogurt at Culture with key lime pie toppings.
  • Hangtown Fry at Stone Park Cafe.

Park Slope Lens:

  • Cupcakes at S'nice (3 of 'em and damn the calories).
  • Samosas at Balucchis.
  • Vegan cookies at Postmark.
  • Dumplings at the new joint (Dumplings & Things) except I'd get them fried.
  • Several Heinikens at Lucky 13 saloon while the strippers shake their righteous tee-tees.

Ok, gang...your turn!
