General Tso's DEATHMATCH!

Two men enter, one man leaves.

As part of FIPS' ongoing Food-Off series, we've taken the most popular dish from the two most popular Park Slope Chinese Restaurants and pitted them against one another. The dish: General Tso's Chicken. The restaurants: Red Hot II and Hunan Delight.

Now of course, there will inevitably be some crackhead who says "What about MR. Wonton?!?!" Save it - Mr. Wonton is such a greasy shithole that if you're really that obsessed, just pretend we included it in the competition and it LOST.

Let the games begin! [cue big racist GONG!]

BREEDER vs. BALLER: Your Kid's Fork Is In My Motherfucking Soup: Restaurant Wars

Each week we will attempt to bring you the unbiased, unedited points-of-view of a bonafide, ginuwine Park Slope Breeder (mom/dad) and a real deal, smokin, sexin, drinkin Park Slope Baller (child free-n-lovin it) on a variety of topics. Identities will remain anonymous, of course, to protect the soon-to-be lynched.

Park Slope Border Argument Totally Solved; AND Introducing the BLOCK-OFF

The borders of Brooklyn neighborhoods possess the fluidity of a drunken octopus (Eastwilliamgreenbushwickpointbedstuyburg, anyone?).

Where the hell Park Slope begins and ends is anyone's guess: the borders often spill into Prospect Heights to the east, Gowanus to the west, Boerum Hill to the north and Sunset Park and Windsor Terrace to the south.

The obvious choice would be to just blame this expansive phenomenon on the realtors, but I also place some blame on those who blur the lines by incorrectly claiming Park Slope as their hood, those who frame Sunset Park as “South Slope,” those who just don’t know any better and have turned Park Slope into a brand.

In short, I choose to blame everyone.

Asian Sandwiches = TRENDY

Yet again, Park Slope is at the crossroads of whatever is hot and happening in the world at large.

Check it: The NYT has declared Asian sandwich shops the next hot food trend.

And what should be opening up RIGHT HERE in Park Slope in a few short weeks!?

HANCO'S! AN ASIAN SANDWICH SHOP.

It's like, we jump on shit before some asshole even recognizes it as a trend! We're soooooooooo trendy!

Don't you sometimes just sit there wondering how is it that we rule so fucking hard?

Us too!

(Good for you, Park Slope).
