MINI BLOCK OFF: BURGER SHOWDOWN

Wow, per chance A Hamburger Today was inspired by the weekly genius displayed in Parowpyro's Park Slope Block Offs?? Cause they did their own darn burger corner block off between Johnny Mack's and 12th Street Bar and Grill.

Not to ruin the ending or anything, but 12th Street wins--mostly, it seems, because of their fondness for fried onions.

Delicious On The Slope's Passive Agressiveness Lives On

After my one poor experience at this lame restaurant, I concluded that they needed to spend far more time on the "delicious," aspects of their cuisine...cause it pretty much blew.

Needless to say, I haven't given it a thought since. So when I heard that they were shutting things down, I wasn't exactly surprised.

But this goodbye note is simply made of pure awesome.

BREEDER VS. BALLER: The "Predators" Among Us

Each week Once in a blue moon, we will attempt to bring you the unbiased, unedited points-of-view of a bonafide, ginuwine Park Slope Breeder (mom/dad) and a real deal, smokin, sexin, drinkin Park Slope Baller (child free-n-lovin it) on a variety of topics. Identities will remain anonymous, of course, to protect the soon-to-be lynched.

BARK: The Saga Continues

If the whole "there's no such thing as bad publicity" rule of thumb holds true, than that new hot dog joint Bark is in it to win it. Yep, there is *quite* the lively thread going on Brooklynian about the place.

Thus far the controversy includes:

*people who hate the place

*people who love the place

*people who love it but think its way too fucking expensive

*territorial Brooklynians accusing new members of anti-shilling

*Willie's Dawgs advocates

*people who think that everyone should just STFU about everything

*people who tried the place and now believe they were ripped off due to some menu/receipt inconsistencies

DAYM.

And in the meantime, I STILL have not gotten my ass there to try it yet.
