Have You Seen This Man Who stabbed a bus driver with a syringe?

Artist's rendering of the suspect

Have you heard the one about the guy who stabbed the bus driver in the shoulder with a syringe?  There’s no punch line --  this shit happened Monday morning!

Just before 11AM, the 30-year-old MTA employee was driving his route on Prospect Park Southwest when a man wielding a hypodermic syringe stabbed him in the shoulder. The driver was treated and released from that place with the good AC and salad bar Methodist Hospital.

The composite drawing, which portrays a 5-foot-9 man between the ages of 45 and 50, can only be described as the love child of Juan Valdez and the Marlboro Man.

But seriously, who just stabs someone in the shoulder with a hypodermic needle? A disgruntled Rite Aid flu shot-giver?  A smack-sharing junkie?  A new superhero called "The Park Slope Vaccinator?"

I write in jest, but seriously -- don’t stab your friends, your neighbors, strangers or the MTA.   If you see something…fucking say something; and don’t take the bus.  Crazies take the bus.

If you have any info about the incident, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

Dizzy's Diner is Raising Money For Their Employee Who Was Attacked Last Week

More details have emerged about the horrific stabbing outside of Dizzy’s Diner on 9th Street and 8th Avenue late last week.

Around 2:15 a.m. this past Saturday, Dizzy's employee Guadalupe “Lupe” Morales, 41,  was cleaning up outside of the restaurant, when a man attacked him.
After slashing Lupe in the chest, neck and back, the  perp ran towards Prospect Park, evading authorities, who quickly arrived on the scene. Early reports say the still-at-large assailant was around 20 years-old and dressed in jeans and a black tank top. Lupe is currently in stable condition at Kings County Hospital.

The Park Slope Birdlar vs. The Park Slope Mini Detective

Photo by Brian Bruchman and the Brooklyn Paper

I’m not sure that crime can get any cuter than this, people.

We’ve got our very-own pint-sized sleuth in Park Slope these days, and she wants her heron back. Yes, a Park Slope family’s yard sculpture of a heron was stolen earlier this month and Luna, their 7-year old daughter, is on the case.

According to the Brooklyn Paper, mother Amy Yang returned to their Park Slope home accompanied by her kids, Luna and Mars, to find the one-of-a-kind lawn ornament gone missing; the only clue a sandy trail where it had been dragged off the property.  So naturally (if you have awesome parents), Amy and her kids decided to make up signs for the “Birdlar," requesting the safe return of the heron to their yard, and Luna launched an investigation (read: bad-ass child alert).

Dumb Ass Teens Set the Park on Fire

pic by Rob Jett

Around 2:45 on Tuesday afternoon, a bird-watcher by the name of Rob Jett was happily... watching birds, I guess, when he saw three teens fleeing from a section of Prospect Park called Rocky Pass. The area suddenly became engulfed with smoke. Jett told local blog "A Walk in the Park"“I heard them laughing and running down the path towards the Nethermead Meadow. I [saw] smoke coming up from where they had just been.”
