Who Gives a Shit: Do you Make New Year's Resolutions?

Some people find New Year's resolutions to be pointless. "Why not start them the day you think of them, instead of waiting for a fresh year to start?" they'll ask. "If you really want to kick a bad habit or accomplish something, why not start now?"

Others look at a new year as a clean slate -- a time to start over by making better choices. "2012 wasn't really my year for cutting cheesecake out of my daily breakfast diet, but 2013 will be the year!"

Do you make New Year's Resolutions? If so, what are they? Do you think you'll keep them all year? Spill your guts. We won't judge.

WHO GIVES A SHIT: DOES YOUR LOBBY LOOK AS CHEESY AS MINE DOES?

Merry almost Christmas, ppl.

Just so you know what I'm dealing with here in our lobby, this is it. Pretty sure these decorations haven't changed since 1984.

Does shit look any better where you are?

Who Gives A Shit: What's Your Favorite breakfast sandwich in Park Slope?

Breakfast panini from Bar Toto

I sure fucking love eating a good breakfast stacked between two slices of bread. You know: a breakfast sandwich.  When I’m not running late for work, or too lazy to leave the bed, there are a few choice breakfast sandwiches that I love to get in the ‘hood (side note: if you don’t enjoy breakfast sandwiches, you probably need to reevaluate your life.)

If I want to sit down and enjoy a lengthy breakfast or brunch over a bloody mary, my morning sandwich of source is the breakfast panini at Bar Toto. Their perfectly scrambled eggs are topped with capocollo, smothered in cheese, and stuffed between two wonderfully crispy pieces of toasted bread. Yeah. That shit’s good.

Who Gives A Shit: What would you do if drug dealers lived on your block?

Well, this is a first in the FiPS advice department...

A FiPS reader recently wrote in and asked for some input on how to deal with drug dealers in the neighborhood:

I live on 5th Street between 4th/5th Avenues. There have been drug dealers living on my street for over a year.  They even deal heroin to my neighbors, who are regular parents who live down the street. I have two kids, and I don't let them play outside anymore because their group always hangs outside.  The police won't do anything unless I can catch them dealing.  Who the hell ever caught someone dealing drugs?! And if I caught them, do you think they would still be dealing by the time the cops arrived?  Even the community board was worthless -- they just directed me to the cops.  Any advice? I own, so do I move?

- Feeling really Fucked in Park Slope

When I think of dealers, my mind goes straight to Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, so my off-the-top-of-the-head-answer is to invite them over for a sexy three-way. That's probably not what said FiPS reader wants to hear though, so I'll let you guys offer your own sage advice in the box below.

Who Gives a Shit: Should Car Services Be Required To Provide Car Seats for Kids?

The Twitter exchange that sparked this conversation.

I don't have children of my own, and I don't particularly care for yours.  In a perfect world, you and your sticky little kids would just stay home all the time, so that the rest of us can go out and have a civilized meal in peace. On the other hand, I know that scenario is not realistic.  And I don't really expect you to keep your child locked in a cage in the basement, like they do in Austria.  Because that'd just be creepy.
