Whenever the Powerball jackpot gets above $100 million, I buy a few tickets and begin to fantasize about how to spend it. Most people would blow a good chunk on housing, and I could see myself buying a brownstone or maybe a warehouse playspace near 4^th Ave. However, as a renter, I’d have no idea who to call. Realizing that I need to be prepared should I win that $100+ million tomorrow, I've taken to the Interwebs looking for the Slope's highest-ranked real estate agency.

WHO GIVES A SHIT: DO YOU HAVE AN APT TWIN?

Ok, so I have an apartment twin.

And by this I mean: there is one person in my building who, for whatever reason, I SEE ALL THE FUCKING TIME, more than anyone else. In the elevator, in the lobby, on the street, at the recycling bins, rinse, repeat again and again and again. 

In case you think it's just because we have the same schedule (we both have to be at work at 9am, for example), you'd be wrong. In fact, I don't have a regular schedule. Some days I work from home, some days I don't (and it's different every week); sometimes I wake up at 7am and sometimes I wake up at 9am; some days Oliver whines and bitches to go out at 6:45am and some days he doesn't stir until noon. And yet the one constant is that I ALWAYS see this person, usually multiple times a day.

WHO GIVES A SHIT: What's On Your Summer Reading List?

Books. In Park Slope, we reads 'em to impress the nine single people left in the neighborhood, , writes 'em if we're JSF and Amy Sohn, and sometimes we talks about 'em really loudly on trains in order to score book deals. Usually though, we takes 'em to Prospect Park and laze galliantly in the sun with our Frenchtons and Six Points.

So, I ask, Park Slope: What's on your summer reading list? Fiction? Non-fiction? All of your back issues of The Paris Review and High Times? Ukelele for Dummies? I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours. (And yes, the above picture is me showing you mine--that's my desk at work after I went fucking insane on a Thursday at 4:00pm.
