WHO GIVES A SHIT: WHY DO LANDLORDS ALLOW CATS AND NOT DOGS?

So I realize that I'm a dog person and that you're all just gonna accuse me of being canine biased, but this shit has confused me for Y-E-A-R-S: landlords who will allow cats and not allow dogs. I seriously just don't get it.

Time For Another Basset Hound Meetup, Yo!

Ok freaky fellow Basset Hound obsessives, mark your calendars! On Sunday, October 14th, we'll all be getting together for the second annual meeting of the North Slope Basset Association (NBA) in Prospect Park.

In case you missed our get together last year, I can assure your asses it was all sorts of amazingsauce. Imagine the cuteness of a live puppy cam crossed with hotness of a DILF walking his little girl down the street in a tutu. Yep, it was even cuter than that.

We had 10 or so Bassets the first time around, and this year we're hoping to have even more. And while we're a BK group, Bassets from anywhere and everywhere are, of course, welcome to join us.

FiPS Cares: Let's Help Find Goma!

Earlier today I spotted this flyer for missing Goma on 8th Avenue near 15th Street. The 2 year-old male cat is described as "very affectionate, with brown with gray tiger stripes." If you've seen this stoic-looking feline, please call his owners at 917 658 1670.

For the Love of God, Will Someone Pls Adopt Suki??

Pretty please?

From Suki's owner:

"I recently accepted a new position at the University of Virginia and we will be moving to Charlottesville next month (June) from Brooklyn, NYC. We are so busy preparing for this very fast move that we are unable to spend time there to hunt for rental houses and decided to go with faculty housing. Unfortunately, UVa University Housing does not allow dogs, so it will be necessary for us to find a new home for our Suki.

She is a fantastic dog - a couch potato, but loves to go on relaxed (sniff-filled) walks through the streets or parks.

FIPS CARES: PLS HELP 'SEXY'

I really wish that people didn't do stupid things like name their dogs "sexy"....or, you know ABANDON THEIR STUPIDLY NAMED YET COMPLETELY INNOCENT, HELPLESS POOR PUPPIES IN PROSPECT PARK!

And yet here we are.

We heard this morn from FIPS reader Abby who rescued a cold, scared, lonely pup this morn from Prospect Park:

"I found a dog at Mount Prospect Park in Brooklyn today who needs a home. She was chained to a fence with a note saying her family was being evicted and couldn't care for her. She had been left out all night and was cold and scared. We got her some food and calmed her down, and she perked right up - sweet, friendly, licked us and let us pet her. Playful with the other dogs (big and small- I have a Morkie and she loved playing with him). Tail was in between her legs when we got to her, and went straight to wagging--no aggression. She's with a friend named Phillip right now, but he can't keep her for long. Can you help? His number is: 718-909-4549"

That's a pic of Sexy up above. Can anyone out there take this sweet little lady? Pretty pls with sugar on top?

If so, get in touch with Phillip pronto.

P.S. Just got this pic and some more scoop from Abby:

"This will hopefully encourage folks to reach out-- she's obviously neither dog nor child aggressive. And we're calling her "Trixie.'"

I think Trixie is the perfect compromise. And look at that sweet face!?
