Looks like someone thought all the tornado carnage just wasn't enough.  Yes, another car crashed into ANOTHER storefront—this time, Junior's bodega on the corner of 11th Street and 8th Avenue. 

I made my way through the throngs of slack-jawed gawkers, but didn't hear anything other than mutterings about brake failure.  If I were a real journalist, I would have stopped to investigate, but I needed breakfast.  STAT.

Anyone know the details?

Praise the Lord! We Found a Parking Spot in Central Slope on Labor Day

To all you of my fellow quiche-eating, limo-liberal, volvo-driving neighbors coming home from the Hamptons/Cape/Columbia County/Vineyard, the hour is nigh.

6 pm!

No traffic. Not even getting over the GW Bridge. Revelers from the West Indian Day Parade packing up to go home. And it took us once around the block to find a parking spot.

It's a miracle! I've seen the light.

MOVE YR CAR: PPW @ 2nd Street

Head's up: If you've got a car parked on PPW around 2nd Street, move that shit by tomorrow at 7.  And if you're thinking of parking there, don't.  Paul Rudd, Zooey Deschanel and crew are a-comin' on through to make a likely mediocre movie.  Lock up your spouses.

PARKING SLOPE [Having a Car Fucking Sucks]

Like many of you, I don't own a car.  In fact, I think the happiest day of my father's life in recent memory was when I moved to Brooklyn and he got to sell my car.  So, while I've heard plenty about the hell on earth that's parking in the Slope, I'd never experienced it firsthand.  Until this week.

I took the last several days to schlep my ass ten blocks north and move (related: my new apartment rules your face), which involved a shit ton of back and forth car rides facilitated by my awesome-as-fuck mother.  Friday morning at about 10:15, we pulled up to my building with car load #59886, looking to find a spot on a Friday 9:30-10:30 alternate side parking-ruled street.
