Ozzie's on 5th was revamped and recently revealed as the newly-named Kos Kaffe Roasting House. The other half of the space, which will be a Beauty Bar, is still under construction.

Has anyone been? How's the coffee?

Is Ozzie's Turning into a Starbucks?

Here's Park Slope reported a rumor last week that the now-defunct Ozzie's on 7th and Lincoln may be the future home of a Starbucks: 

"A tipster overheard a conversation between staff at the one further down Seventh (near First Street), and said that they were discussing the new location. A call to the realtor, Betancourt & Associates, didn't reveal any information yet, and an employee at the Starbucks further up Seventh said he wasn't allowed to comment."

I know you guys want to weigh in on why this is cool or not cool. Please: don't hold back. 

FiPS Bits: Ozzie's on 5th Closed For 3-4 Weeks

The last remaining Park Slope Ozzie's has papered its storefront. Has it suffered the same fate as it's 7th ave sister store? Probably not.

Here's Park Slope points out that back in May the NY Post reported that hipster drink-while-you-get-your-nails-did staple Beauty Bar would be invading and sharing the space.

Nail polish fumes mixed with coffee aroma? Hmm..

Ozzie's Owner Wants Our Sorry Asses To Name Their New Cafe

Remember when we told you guys that Melissa Rapoport, former owner of Ozzie's on 7th Avenue, was going to open a new coffee shop just across the street from her old location? Well YOU can help choose the name of the new joint! Rapoport's running a little contest to see who can come up with the best name for her new café. She's even opened up a gmail account, just so that you can submit your brilliant suggestions (that was totally sarcastic by the way. Your idea will almost certainly suck eggs. The coffee shop formerly known as Ozzie's (that was a failed Prince reference)

Still in tears over Ozzie’s Coffee on 7th ave closing down? Not to worry, my dear Park Slopers, because they will be reopening down the block where La Taqueria used to be! It will no longer be called Ozzie’s, which is OK because it’s only a mere block away from the old location. You can still use muscle memory to get in the general vicinity without too much trouble. Added bonus: rumor has it that the owner is planning on adding beer and wine to the menu!
