New La Bagel Delight: Better, Stronger, Faster

La Bagel Delight's new location on Seventh Ave is gonna feature a rather pimped out version of my fave some people's fave bagel shop: they're gonna have a salad bar! Lunch (lasagna, ziti)! Dinner (meatloaf, meatballs)! And evenflagels! (i.e. flat bagels). Try using that one non-ironically in conversation today for extra bonus points.

Personally, I'm most excited about their new hours: 6am-10pm! (s'right bitches...sometimes I want a fucking BAGEL for dinner).

Half-Assed REVIEW: Tomato & Basil Pizza

Ok, this isn't a full on review because I just had 3 bites of Greg's slice of pizza last night, but WOW!  I need to go back and re-investigate, but this *might* have been the most delicious slice I've ever had in Park Slope.

Joe's is usually my go to favorite, but Tomato & Basil might actually be worth the walk down Union.  Our slice was HOTT out of the oven, super thin, v. nice sauce/cheese balance and really delish crust.  The sauce was also surprisingly delish (and I am soooo not a sauce girl.  In fact, I could kinda skip the sauce and be just as happy).

You guys dig this place?

Scanwiches.com smacks their sandwiches down on a scanner before devouring them, and damn do they look good.

You know what? Fuck that Lean Cuisine I have in my purse. I'm ordering in.

I Love Whoopie Pies!

Ok, this article from the NYT totally fucking rocks my world, because I've had an ongoing Whoopie Pie obsesh for a v. looooong time now. No one ever knows what these motherfuckers are, but I'm telling you people: they are EPIC.

Now I, apparently, gotta get my ass to Trois Pommes Patisserie toute de suite, b/c based on the pics in article, they've got some serious whoopie pie action goin on there.

Park Slope [Sweat Pants Optional]

As a former Park Slope inhabitant for two years, and then a "Park Slope" (Prospect Heights) inhabitant for another two years, I now find myself living in Tribeca.

Okay, don't hate me just yet.

The truth? My rent and entire living situation is cheaper than it was in the Brooklyn digs, because of strange but fortunate circumstances. Legal and NOT shady ones at that. Okay, you probably hate me. The short of it is that I live in the combination living and work space of...wait for it...the family I used to nanny for...in...wait for it again...Park Slope! Except that they don't really live here. It's a long story.
