I Love Whoopie Pies!

Ok, this article from the NYT totally fucking rocks my world, because I've had an ongoing Whoopie Pie obsesh for a v. looooong time now. No one ever knows what these motherfuckers are, but I'm telling you people: they are EPIC.

Now I, apparently, gotta get my ass to Trois Pommes Patisserie toute de suite, b/c based on the pics in article, they've got some serious whoopie pie action goin on there.

[Anyone ever try these?????].

I really wanted to start back up on WW this week, but who the fuck am I kidding: stay tuned for a Whoopie Pie review in 3...2...1...

Skip Trois Pommes and head straight to One Girl Cookie in Boerum Hill. They have regular whoopie pies and pumpkin ones. AMAZING!!!

Trois Pommes is seriously delish. Def. on the expensive side, but worth it. The quiche and key lime pie are TDF. The gorilla coffee is kick ass and cheap.

Delighted to know where I can find gobs in the Slope. Now if I could just find a place with Lebanon bologna, I'd never have to go home to rural Pennsylvania again...

I'm from Central PA so I know my Whoopie Pies. The so-called Whoopie Pies at Trois Pommes are: WEAK, LAME, DISAPPOINTING. Not only were they only about the size of a silver dollar, they were also outrageously expensive ($2.50 for about one bit of cake). The filling was about as good as the icing on a sheet cake from a grocery store. I'll stick to making my own, which rock btw.
