BREAKING: Park Slope Eatery Files For Bankruptcy...And Fails DOH Inspection. BIG TIME

Ok, this is no big surprise as this place was all kinds of lame, but that weird deli/diner/hybrid whatever on Seventh Ave and Fourth Street, Park Slope Eatery has filed for bankruptcy. They owe $95,000 smackers to 18 different creditors.

HOWEVER, I think the bigger news here is their revolting Department of Health inspection:

"On Feb. 22, Park Slope Eatery received a restaurant inspection score of 107 and had 19 violations, 12 of them deemed "critical," according to the health department. The restaurant's letter grade is still pending, but in the inspection world, higher scores indicate more woes. Only 16% of restaurants inspected between February 2010 and Jan. 31, 2011, had an inspection score higher than 28, according to health department statistics."

Barf shooters all around?

Scalino Got Seized

image via @superdee

Or served...or whatever the hell you call it.

But the tax man came a knockin' and apparently Scalino, that little Italian-ish joint on 7th Ave between 9th and 10th streets, didn't answer the door.

Let this be a lesson to us all: April 1st April 15 April 18th is just around the corner, ppl.

BREAKING X 2: La Taqueria Closed For Good

If you are a restaurant in Park Slope and you are NOT shuttering your doors this week, you deserve a big fat congratulations and the number of my fave weed delivery service. Cause basically everyone and their brother is calling it quits.

So let's add La Taqueria, on 7th Avenue between Berkeley and Lincoln, to the sad, growing, closed restaurants list.

Read all about it on Here's Park Slope.

BREAKING: Willie's Dawgs Is Kaput

R.I.P. Willie's Dawgs. We just received the following release:

"Willie's is up for adoption," said owners Tom Anderson and Ellen Lutter. "It was a great four-year run and it's time to move on."

Named for their late dog, Willie's was known for great hot dogs and a devotion to pet adoption. Willie's raised money for such local stalwarts as Sean Casey Animal Rescue.

As for his plans, Anderson said "Relax. Maybe go to a Devils hockey game and get in some skiing. And either go back to my work in films and tv or open a new Willie's someday. Every 'dawg' has its day and we had many."

Well, this certainly puts a new spin on the Bark Delivery news, now doesn't it?

We'll miss you Willie's. You were our my second fave hot dog in Park Slope!

UPDATE: Willie's will be open until this Sunday, 1/23 so get your last lick dogs dawgs while you can.

RUMOR: Belleville Is Dunzo?

photo via danielleking's FlickrOk, so this one is unconfirmed, BUT: we have it on good authority that Belleville is ovah.

They've been closed for two weeks for "renovations," but allegedly there are no renovations. OH, and also, apparently they lost their liquor license.

Our tipster tells us that the space is already being offered up to others by an ambitious real estate broker, who claims that it will be avail to take over in "a couple of weeks."

Verrrrry innneresting.

Anyone else have scoop?

UPDATE: Apparently a new note is up that says they are planning to open on Thursday. False alarm OR damage control: you decide.
