The Smashing Pumpkins will Play the Barclays Center This Halloween

If you were an angsty teen in the mid 90's who doesn't give a shit that frontman Billy Corgan no longer plays with his original band, then this Halloween you may find yourself dressed in your wittiest costume and hanging out at the Barclays Center to watch The Smashing Pumpkins play.

US Gymnastics Teams To Perform Impressive Feats of Agility at The Barclays Center

This fall, the US Olympic athletes that make some of us feel inadequate for lacking the ability to do even a cartwheel, will be showing off their mad athletic skills at The Barclays Center.

As part of the Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions, members of both the men and women's US Olympic gymnastics team will perform in an event pairing "elite gymnastics skill with modern performance art that will push the boundaries of athleticism."

And yes, if you're wondering, the "Fierce 5" -- Gabby Douglas, Aly Raisman, Jordyn Wieber, Kyla Ross, and McKayla Maroney -- will be partaking.

The show is happening on November 18 at 3PM. Tickets start at $60 (go ahead and start your bitching).

The Cost of Luxury at a Brooklyn Nets Game Is...

This Monday, 160 box seats just above the lower level of The Barclays Center will be sold for $165/game per person, or $7,260 for the entire season. The price includes a separate entrance to the arena, unlimited food and access to Jay-Z's 40/40 Club.

This is definitely a hell of a lot cheaper than dropping nearly $1M on the best seats in the house for an entire Knicks season.

So: Any takers?

Even Mother Nature Hates the Barclays Center

During a recent thunderstorm, a bolt of lightning struck the Barclays Center, then became disappointed when it learned that the giant arena is not actually where Bruce Ratner lives.
