[WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER AT...] Benchmark

WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER AT... is a recurring column designed in kind for your opinionated asses and our lazy asses. We're going to pick one Park Slope resto a week and recommend our favorite dish at each. Are we right? Are we wrong? YOU KNOW YOU WANNA WEIGH IN.
Let's face it: it's hard to get a good steak around here, and Benchmark fills that void nicely. Ever since Benchmark (339 2nd St at 5th Ave, 718-965-7040) opened over a year ago, it's been my go-to place for a nice red-blooded, red-meat dinner.
There are a ton of great things you can order here, and you can order steaks and sides ala carte, but here's our perfect meal:
Seared Sea Scallops ($10): served with garbanzo bean ragout, saffron, and roasted garlic sauce, this is awesome and light, and the perfect way to start your meal.
Filet Mignon ($28): 11 ounces, grass-finished, wet-aged, other things I don't understand, etc etc. IT'S DELICIOUS.
Side of Goat Cheese Whipped Potatoes ($6): I would have eaten the whole thing if I didn't have to share.
You better call up Arecibo, you're not walking home after this meal.
What's the best thing you've ever ordered at Benchmark?
