Talde's Menu Has Arrived (and they'll be opening this Sunday)
Word has come from the Talde folks that they will be soft opening THIS Sunday! And, BOOM: their final menu is above.
As you can see, there's gonna be some good shit to be eaten there. Most importantly, our long expressed dreams for Korean fried chicken in the nabe are f-i-n-a-l-l-y coming true.
"According to Chef Talde, the restaurant’s menu has long been evolving, starting from when he was a child cooking with his mother in the kitchen, and continuing through his stints working alongside some the country’s most acclaimed chefs, including Carrie Nahabedian, Masaharu Morimoto and Shawn McClain. TALDE’s dishes feature a variety of market-driven ingredients and local Brooklyn products, combined with Chef Talde’s talents and sense of fun."
The booze selection over there is no joke either. There is a 75 bottle wine list, 10 beers on tap (in addition to a selection of by the bottle choices) and some interesting cocktails such as the Brooklyn Sling (gin, Luxardo, pineapple, house-made grenadine and bitters) along with the Pacquiao Punch, "a secret concoction paying homage to Manny Pacquiao, the Filipino boxing champion, statesman and Chef Talde’s personal hero."
They'll be open daily from 5pm till 12am, and will only be taking reservations for larger parties. If you're flying solo, you should go park yourself at one of the 6 seats at the "chef's table" style counter, where you'll easily be able to bug Dale with stupid queries like: "Is Korean fried chicken actually made with chickens that come from Korea?" and any other burning questions you might have.
Welcome to the nabe, Talde!
