While I was watching an entire season of Dexter online hanging out with some friends this past Sunday I received a few emails and photos about an SUV that caught fire on 5th ave and 1st street:

An anon FIPS reader sent along the above vid of a chick flipping the fuck out on a B62 bus on Fri night headed toward Billyburg.
Why was this chica soooo angry? Apparently the bus driver asked her to turn down her music, which she had started playing through the speakers of her iphone. Boy, can I relate! The last time a bus driver asked me to turn down my music I punched a handicapped dude and set an old lady's hair on fire. WE'VE ALL BEEN THERE, YO!
Also, can we all agree that this is rock solid proof that nothing good EVER comes from going to Williamsburg?

Ok, this is seriously news to me.
FIPS reader Matt sent along this passive agressive note that was left on his front door by a local judge. Based on this person's ranty missive (and veiled threat of a lawsuit), it seems like the implication here is that all of those uneven, janky Park Slope sidewalks are OUR responsibility to fix and not the city's?! Hunh?!

Remember BACK IN FEBRUARY when FIPS unearthed a rumor that Slope Nannies (Slonnies? Slannies? OK, I’ll stop) were possibly covering Coop shifts for their bosses? This caused a kale storm in our comments section, and then the NY Times jumped on it and made us sound all Lord Voldemort-y by referring to FIPS as “The blog whose name we do not speak of.” And then time went by, as it does, and we all kind of moved on with our lives?
Well, most of us did.
Joanna Molloy of the Daily News wrote a breakthrough piece YESTERDAY telling all you nanny-outsourcing, Coop-cheating “Park Slope Princesses” to “Get a grip!”
