Barrio Now Delivers

Ok, the timing of this is *kinda* funny since Bark just made a big todo about beginning delivery, and now it almost feels like Barrio was sitting around watching all the hoopla and just said: FUCK IT! US TOO!

In any event, fancy-ish Mexican joint Barrio is now delivering and we mean NOW! Well, at least when they open! Unlike Bark, these btchz don't need to gear up for anything.

Delivery is avail 7 days a week for dinner starting at 3pm, and Thusday/Sunday for brunch/lunch starting at 11:30am.  OH and get this: you can either call them, or place your order online via seamless web. I pretty much prefer to never speak to anyone on a telephone ever, so this online shit is VERY appealing to me.

Also, they're kicking off this delivery party with a free side order of guac as long as you mention the email that I got and you probably didn't, but who cares: mention it anyway (for online orders just type: EMAIL OFFER in the special instructions box).

Who's next on the delivery train?? Al di La? CITY SUB?? Whatcha got, Park Slope???

RUMOR: Belleville Is Dunzo?

photo via danielleking's FlickrOk, so this one is unconfirmed, BUT: we have it on good authority that Belleville is ovah.

They've been closed for two weeks for "renovations," but allegedly there are no renovations. OH, and also, apparently they lost their liquor license.

Our tipster tells us that the space is already being offered up to others by an ambitious real estate broker, who claims that it will be avail to take over in "a couple of weeks."

Verrrrry innneresting.

Anyone else have scoop?

UPDATE: Apparently a new note is up that says they are planning to open on Thursday. False alarm OR damage control: you decide.

Bark Will Deliver Hot Dogs To Your DOORSTEP!

Ok, ppl, this one is a gamechanger: BARK HOT DOGS WILL SOON BEGIN DELIVERING! LIKE TO YOUR FUCKING FRONT DOOR!

Let that one sink in for a mo.

You still need a minute?

Yeah, me too.

Anyway, beginning January 25th Bark will begin delivery to both Park Slope and Prospect Heights. Stay tuned for their delivery menu (which should be posted on their site soon), but know that that mofo will include some of their new "party packs." In case you're intrigued by party packs, welcome to the club:

"We will also have some different party packs to go including Dogs, Burgers, Sides, Growlers, etc. at a discounted price for parties of 10 or more."

And in an effort to avoid the shitshow that might otherwise be the first day of opening up the delivery floodgates, Bark would love anyone who might be getting hot dog drop offs on the regular to get them their addys BEFORE Jan 26th. This way they can get you into their system and make this whole transition catastrophe free. You can either pass your address along when placing a take-out order, calling up, or stopping in.

Their delivery area will include: "from Bark (Bergen St. and Flatbush Ave.) East to Pacific Street, South-East to 4th Ave., South to 9th street, North to Underhill Avenue, and West to Prospect Park West."

HELLS TO THE FREAKIN YEAH!

Bagel Market Loves Ur Dog

Ok, as a long-time La Bagel Delight devotee, my feelings toward the new Bagel Market have been somewhat conflicted and slow to develop.

Initially they started winning me over with their mini-bagel options, but this sign above kinda takes me over the top. Basically you can call ahead, place your order, and if you're with your dog, they will come bring your order to the door--so you don't even have to tie the pooch up!

As everyone knows: I have a dog that's way the hell too hawt to leave tied up outside a store, so this service is BIG TIME appreciated. In fact, I wish more Park Slope businesses would do this shit too.

Only hitch is, their phone number doesn't seem to be listed ANYWHERE online. So while I'd love to try this doggie door delivery service out, and have all of you try this doggie door delivery service out, I guess we're all SOL until we uncover the magical digits.
