Personally, I find this to be totally fucking hilarious: apparently people are now deciding to change the names of their bebes. Like, after they've been named, and introduced to the world, and birth announcements have gone out, and circumcisions have been had--they change their name.

"I thought my baby looked like a Ralph. But like after I lived with him a bit and he showed me his heart light, and decided that he was a vegan, he like seemed way more like a Huxtable. So yeah...I changed his name to Huxtable."

Ok, fine: I mostly made up that quote...but, still.

Cool or Not Cool: Skipping The Deodorant

Someone on Brooklynian has a BO emergency:

"So this woman I am close to never wears deodorant/anti-perspirant and she kind of smells like a men's locker, especially on sultry nights."

As someone who sweats more than Alec Baldwin at a Bikram yoga class, this makes zero sense to me...like with all the tragedy in the world, my brain can't even compute the possibility of not wearing deodorant.

The Wall Street Journal reports on the new trend of Coffee Shops limiting laptop use to off hours, and bouncing anyone who tries to plug-in. The general drift of this new perkless movement is: "you assholes spend $2 on a cup of coffee and then sit your fat ass here for 8 hours using our wifi and electricity--this is why I'm about to file bankruptcy" (paraphrased, of course).

As someone who has sat MY fat ass P-L-E-N-T-Y of times for hours on end at the Tea Lounge, after purchasing a lone cuppa hot apple cider, I gotta say: I kind of see their point.

Cool or Not Cool: Skateboarding With Your Dog?

I've noticed a new and disturbing trend in the neighborhood - skateboarders pulling their poor dogs along behind them. I'm sure that some of the dogs may enjoy it for a short distance, but it doesn't seem humane or optional for the dogs. I wince whenever I see someone doing this. Worse is when they're going downhill and the dog has to run faster.
