WIN A FREE DINNER AT TALDE: THE RESULTS

A few weeks ago, we announced that two FIPS readers will win dinner for two at TALDE when the restaurant opens in a few weeks ($150 spend limit, gratuity not included).

As promised, we hooked up with Dale (and master mixologist/co-owner John Bush) to announce the winners.

While many of the comments were hi-larious, the two winners are:

Dave: Here's a little rhyme that's worth your time, to learn a little good about the Park Slope neighborhood.  Don't listen to the mammas about bringing their kids in pajamas - you want your place to please, not be Chuck-E-Cheese.  Keep those ingredients fresh from the local farmers... and make sure your waitstaff can keep up with the best of the charmers.  Park Slope isn't Mid-town, so the ladies won't wear gowns, so you might want to be aware of the skinny jeans and funny hair.  But what do I know about owning eateries?  I just know how to thrown down some beateries.

Amandapanda: if you really want to succeed here in the Slope, here are 10 important rules to follow: hipster glasses (like your photo above) are fine, make the restaurant family friendly, actually, I change my mind. no one under the age of 21, and no one over the age of 35, no flannel, skinny jeans on chicks are ok, no PS321 shirts, no YMCA American apparel track jackets, dog friendly outdoor eating featuring dog friendly dog food, customers must swear your allegiance to Kiwiana vs. Talde (similar to Henry’s vs. Hanco’s).

You lucky son-of-a-bitches.  We'll be in touch with details on how you'll claim your free meals.

Everyone else, get your asses down to TALDE when it opens.  It's going to be off the chain.
