[WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER AT...] 200 FIFTH

WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER AT... is a recurring column designed in kind for your opinionated asses and our lazy asses.  We're going to pick one Park Slope resto a week and recommend our favorite dish at each.  Are we right?  Are we wrong?  YOU KNOW YOU WANNA WEIGH IN.

Have you ever walked into a restaurant and thought to yourself, "Wow, this place is about as confused as my Broadway musical-loving cousin David!"

Well—welcome to 200 Fifth.

Image via Park Slope LensLet's call a spade a spade.  200 Fifth (200 Fifth Ave between Union and Berkeley Sts, 718-638-2925) is a sports bar.  The dark wood booths, the multiple flat screen TVs constantly trained to the sport du jour—it all drips with testosterone.

And that's totally fine.  Hooray for sports bars!

What I don't understand is why they insist on the white table cloths and a menu that features ambitious entrees like Penne Arugala with Scallops and Shrimp Scampi in White Wine Sauce.  These dishes are well-meaning, yes, but to belabor tired sports metaphors—they strike out.

So, if you find yourself here on game day, don't order the Mustard-crusted Salmon—order off of the bar menu (or the "Nibbles & Bites" menu).

The absolute best thing you can get?

The Wings Sampler ($14.95) is piled high with a bunch of different flavors—southern-fried, BBQ, Buffalo, and my favorite: breaded.

What do you think?

What's the best thing to order at 200 Fifth?
