NYPD Shows Prisoners Suspect Photos

Police sketches

In their continuing yet questionable efforts to catch the attacker (or attackers) who have terrorized nearly a dozen women since March, the NYPD is showing select video stills to local prisoners being processed through Central Booking.

“We have some videos that show victims being approached,” Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said. “We’re asking people perhaps they recognize a trait or a walk on an individual.”

Hasn't Keyser Soze taught us anything? You can't always tell a man by the way he walks.

Woman Attacked in Windsor Terrace Last Night

Photo via CBS2

I'm so sick of having to post these kinds of headlines over and over. I really wish all of this would just stop.

Last night yet another woman was groped in Windsor Terrace on Vanderbilt and East 5th. It happened shortly before midnight and sounds like nearly every other attack that's been reported since March. The woman is in her 20's and was approached and groped from behind. She screamed and the suspect fled.

We received an email from FiPS reader and Windsor Terrace rez Cate regarding the incident:

This area had next to NO police presence until tonight - even though there are two dimly lit parks and it's one of the main streets people walk to get to the F/G Ft. Hamilton stop on the other side of the Parkway.

[BREAKING]: Police Arrest Sexual Abuse Suspect in Sunset Park

Three police sketches have been released regarding the BK attacker

Early this morning the NYPD arrested a man in Sunset Park, who may or may not be linked to the string of sexual attacks around Brooklyn since March. 22 year-old Federico Chamorro Yax is facing charges of assault, sexual abuse and forcible touching after two recent incidents. Police say that this past Sunday Yax crept up behind a young woman on 56th street and grabbed and fondled her, but the woman struggled and scratched the man, who then fled (I reserve one "You Go Girl" fist pump per year - and I'm using it NOW).

Police allege that early this morning Yax approached another woman on 65th street and stuck his hand up her skirt. Yax himself lives on 65th street. He's currently in police custody, but no further news has been released on whether this D-bag is believed to be responsible for more attacks. We'll keep you posted!

Woman Sexually Assaulted At Knifepoint on F Train

THIS SHIT HAS GOTTA STOP!

FIPS reader J alerted us to this upsetting news: A woman was attacked on a southbound F train last night around 2:25am. The incident happened at the Fort Hamilton subway station.

Apparently the guy put his hand around this poor woman's throat, while brandishing a knife. He then grabbed her purse, and told her take off her underwear. Not sure what happened next, but the suspect ended up fleeing the train, and thankfully, the woman was unharmed.

The police have released video of this scumbag (pictured above)."Police released a sketch of the suspect, whom they describe as a bald Black man between 45 and 50-years-old, around 5’10″ and 200 lbs., with scruffy facial hair and a stocky build.

He was last seen wearing a maroon sweater, dark colored pants and dark colored work shoes."

As of now, the police do not believe that this attack is related to any of the other sexual assaults that have taken place throughout Brooklyn since March.
