Well FiPSTERS, Summer is almost over. But what a Summer it has been, right?! In the past few weeks alone we've survived an earthquake (shut it, West Coasters - it fucking counts), a hurricane and something really dis-gus-ting involving post-birth placenta.

[Round-Up] Mermaid Parade Photos!

The weather was perfect this past Saturday for stripping down and glittering up at the Coney Island Mermaid Parade. 

Since I am nothing if not inattentive, I had completely forgotten that the parade was taking place on this particular day. By the time I reached Surf Avenue it was 6PM and the festivities had disintegrated into a gaggle of drippy body paint and stray feathers. I'd instead come to Coney to watch the Cyclones lose to the Staten Island Yankees (if anyone's dying to know who won the giant condiment mascot race though, it was RELISH. You're welcome).
