OPEN THREAD: Fuck Yeah, Gay Marriage!

I literally just got off a plane from LA and still have In-n-Out double doubles coursing through my veins, but I couldn't wait to get home to blog my fucking face about this: GAY MARRIAGE IS LEGAL IN NY!

A bill was passed at 11:55pm by the Republican controlled NY senate by a vote of 33 to 29 that will legalize same-sex marriage. NY will be the sixth state to do so in the U.S and, thus far, the largest. A similar bill was defeated here in 2009, and several other states including NJ, Rhode Island and Maryland could not get this shit passed in their own damn states.

Do you realize how totally fucking amazing this is, ppl? DO YOU??? Cause it is.

Irish Gayboys and Girls Not Welcome at St. Paddy's Day Parade

Come on! Really?

Who would have thought that Park Slope of all places wouldn't let our Irish Lambdas march in our little annual St. Paddy's Day Parade. Aren't we weren't we the lesbian capitol of the Northeast?

Apparently, the uncloseted were relegated to the sidelines waving on a seriously gay gathering of heteros from the stoop next to the pink brownstone on Garfield.

Big hair and wigs? Check. Dancing boys? Check. Men in skirts and high schoolers looking like they could be at a Michael Jackson concert? Check. Check.

COOL OR NOT COOL: Letting Your Little Boy Dress Up As Daphne From Scooby Doo?

Ok, so I really, really thought we were done with Halloween stuff, but then I saw this: 'My son is gay. Or He's Not. I Don't Care.'

It was written by a mom who's son decided he wanted to dress up as Daphne from Scooby Doo for Halloween...and she didn't see what the big whoop was, so she let him do it. Then he got made fun of by kids and parents alike at his Christian day school...like a lot.

I gotta say, I was incredibly touched by this woman's take on the whole sitch (which was basically: all you mofos need to relax, cause even if my son IS gay, who gives a shit??). I mean, as you can see, her son is pretty much rocking it the fuck out in his costume. And while I don't really spend a lot of time passing around the BREEDER love platter on this here blog, I do think she deserves a hefty helping.

Howevs.

I'm still a leetle bit confused regarding how on this motherfucking Earth she thought there was ANY chance in hell her little dude wouldn't get slayed by all his friends at school, and/or other uptight parents for his girlie costume. I mean, I think its INSANITY that they all acted like they did, but also it wasn't exactly a shocker to me to hear that they freaked.

Anyway, what do you gays guyz think? Cool or not cool?

Well newsflash, mofos: it’s so not true. I mean, a true gayberhood has a booming singles scene, right? And as we all know the single lesbos left a long time ago, but I'm now here to report that all the single homos have fled the nabe too.
