Tumble-Weave Spotted On The Sidewalks Of Brooklyn

Tumble-weave!

Alas, the exact location was not disclosed, but if you wish to see the 73 ridiculous puns/pointless responses to this photo i.e. "Amy Winehouse was here," "Unbeweavable!!!," and "a whole hearty laugh was shared by all this day as we gazed upon the straggly headpiece tangled among the natural vegetation of your native land," go here

Park Slope Is Officially Filthy Rich

Updated on Monday, March 7, 2011 at 6:05PM by Registered CommenterAllison

Prospect Park @ Garfield EntranceSomeone was having a little fun, because we've got some new signage at the Garfield entrance of Prospect Park.

I guess this was meant to celebrate our official status as a former middle-class hood that's completely lost its middle (or most of it anyway). Must be all that kickboxing and pilates and, yes, Brownstone Brooklyn is way richer than it was 10 years ago.

What Matters To Park Slope?

image via Park Slope Lens

OK, so Park Slope Patch posted this whole big article on "What Matters To Park Slope" ...and it was by Smartmom, natch.

Instead we got a bunch of crap from neighborhood movers-n-shakers on what they *think* matters to Park Slope. Or really what matters to them. And yes there was some interesting stuff in there fer sure (gentrification, educating immigrants nannies, etc), but also I wondered if it was really reflective of what you ppl actually give a shit about.

So, Hanco's crowd sourced logo redesign campaign got us thinking: maybe we should grab a sharpie and launch our own re-branding competish! Like for Park Slope!

Cause uhm: we've got a bit of a reputation problem at the mo.
