Out Of Work? Learn How To Make It As A Park Slope Nanny!

Are you tired of pretending that the random crap you create and sell on Etsy while binge eating Cheetos counts as a job? Put down that decorative feather, reader, and take a good look around you. Babies are all up in this nabe and they need someone to take care of them while their parents go to work. That someone could be YOU.

The New York Times recently ran an article about what rich parents look for in their nannies, and we've rounded up the basics so you can start training. Here are 10 things you need to know in order to land a gig wiping the asses of the young Ravens and Edwards in this hood:

1. Learn a foreign language, preferably French or Mandarin (and no, Dothraki doesn't count, Game Of Thrones nerds).

2. Get a masters degree (please. Been there done that).

3. Have a vagina (sorry, no dudes allowed).

4. Give up your personal life (nice knowing you, Mad Men season 5).

5. Learn to cook four-course meals (that don't consist of queso nachos and beer).

6. Learn to ride, wash and groom a horse (that's what Kensington Stables is for!).

7. Must be able to steer a 32-foot boat (OMG, note to everyone: Remember to buy tickets to Titanic 3D before they sell out!)

8. Help manage art collections
(without secretly stealing art).

9. Learn how to drive Zamboni (one never knows when an ice skating rink might need to be cleaned).

10. Make connections with other cool nannies (buy a Bugaboo).
