Kohzee Cafe Gets Close-y'd By The DOH?

Apparently Khozee Cafe, that blazingly mediocre diner wannabe joint on 6th Ave between 6th and 7th Streets was closed down by the Department of Health, only to be ceremoniously re-opened by, uhm, Kohzee Cafe. Without the DOH's permission.

Someone's gettin all "HELL NO, WE WON'T GO" on the city's ass. Behold the following tale from an anon FIPS reader:

On Tues morning, the DOH put one of those yellow, your place is being shut down stickers on Khozee Cafe's  window. I passed by later that day, and noticed that the sticker had been scraped off by someone. The next morning, the DOH put ANOTHER sticker on top of the remnants of the first one. This time I witnessed the owner (or a very loyal employee) scraping the sticker off the window as he said, and I quote, "I don't give a fuck how many they put up, I'll keep taking them down. I'm fucking crazy!"

Now here's the kicker: The DOH returned for a second time yesterday evening and put up 4 new stickers, one on each window. And by the time I returned home from work today, one had been scraped one off and the other three were covered with silver paint so they were illegible.

I think it's terrible that they're trying to hide their violations - albeit poorly - from their closest neighbors--the rest of the hood should know what's up.

And last but not least, a little frankness on my part:  this place is a fucking joke. the food is gross, their grease exhaust make the block stink, and their employees litter the sidewalk (filling it with cigarette butts). They are clearly shameless, as was proven by their low-class 'little person in a get-up handing out flyers' gimmick. Oh, and also pretty fucking stupid since there were already 3 diners in a 2 block radius from where they chose to open."

Ok, while I've never been to this place and have no desire to ever go, their yelp reviews are beyond horrendous. I even had a FIPS reader once email me to tell me about a horrible, harrassment situation she got into with the owner of Khozee Cafe, and the only reason we didn't pub it was because she begged me not to as she didn't want to make the dude (who she thought was crazy) even crazier. So yeah: innocent until proven guilty, but also, the evidence is mounting.

When we called Khozee Cafe to get some scoop on this whole sitch, someone hung up on us.
