Brooklyn to Get It's Own High Line? On the Gowanus Canal?
a. BWHAHHHHAAAHHHHAAA! But,
b. How fucking cool would that be???
So, after the Gowanus canal gets de-dead bodied, de-diseased, and de-bacterial infection'd during it's "clean up," there's an architectural competition afoot that aims to turn that mofo into Brooklyn's own version of the High Line! Only they're calling it the "lowline!"
BWHAHHHHAAAHHHHAAA!
Anyway, development possibilities are wide the hell open at this point. And sure: it's fun to think about all of the foot bridges and open park areas and deck chairs that could one day be chillin up on the GoCa...but also that seems TOTALLY FUCKING CRAZY at this point.
But whatevs...dream big, right ppl?
Anyway, as Gothamist aptly points out: the deadline for entry in this GoCa competish is April Fool's Day. Funny ha ha?
