Whole Foods Announces Opening Date

In case you haven't been following the Third and Third Whole Foods on Tumblr, Instagram, Facebook, and/or Twitter, you might not yet know that they have announced that their opening date will be Tuesday, December 17th. According to the press release:

Whole Foods Market Third & 3rd (214 3rd Street, Brooklyn) will offer its' local community the full range of high-quality natural and organic foods the retailer is known for, and will also be home to one of the most forward-thinking and environmentally friendly grocery stores ever designed—including a 20,000 square-foot rooftop greenhouse in partnership with New York’s Gotham Greens. Third & 3rd will be home to an unmatched selection of local products from many of Brooklyn’s most noted artisanal producers, with one-of-a-kind exclusive items in every department, as well as a 2nd floor indoor/outdoor tap room and restaurant The Roof, and an in-store take-out venue from noted ramen chef, Yuji Hariguchi.

Local! Forward thinking! Environmentally friendly! Unmatched selection! ARTISANAL!!! I don't know about you, but I'm getting a Park Slope style chubby from all those we-know-how-you-like-it-and-we're-gonna-give-it-to-you-good Park Slope keywords.

Gotta admit, though, I'm definitely psyched to check out the ramen noodle joint that will be permanently installed there. What, if anything, is getting you hot about the new Whole Foods?
