[WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER AT...] Perch Cafe

Image via Park Slope Lens

WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER AT... is a recurring column designed in kind for your opinionated asses and our lazy asses.  We're going to pick one Park Slope resto a week and recommend our favorite dish at each.  Are we right?  Are we wrong?  YOU KNOW YOU WANNA WEIGH IN.

Fun fact: did you know that one of the owners of Perch Cafe (365 5th Ave between 5th and 6th Sts, 718-788-2830) is named Bjork?  But don't worry, there's nobody dressed in a swan dress up in here, and I'm pretty confident that any photographer or journalist can enjoy their meal without getting smacked upside the head

No Icelandic drama, all good food.

Photo via Serious EatsThere's a ton of good stuff on offer (even a custom "warm weather" menu that you should check out), but I'd have to say that the best thing you can get in this place is the Grilled Veggie & Hummus Sandwich ($10).  Hummus, grilled squash, tomato, and mesclun are piled on top of homemade rosemary focaccia and finished off with a to-die-for olive tapanade.  I want to go to there.

What's the best thing you've ever had at Perch?
