[WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER AT...] Fornino

Image via Park Slope LensWHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER AT... is a recurring column designed in kind for your opinionated asses and our lazy asses.  We're going to pick one Park Slope resto a week and recommend our favorite dish at each.  Are we right?  Are we wrong?  YOU KNOW YOU WANNA WEIGH IN.

We've had a million bazillion posts and comments about the best pizza in Park Slope (HINT: It's not Smiling Happy Face Pizzeria).  While Fornino (256 Fifth Ave between Garfield and Carroll Sts, 718-399-8600) doesn't have the BEST pizza in Park Slope, it does have good pizza, and other Italian junk.

Image via the New York TimesWhile Fornino's menu is pretty ambitious (homemade braised short rib ravioli, herb-crusted branzino, double-cut pork chop), but their wood-fire pizzas are the best (and most affordable) options on their menu.

Image via New York MagazineMy favorite one is the Funghi Mixti ($16)—wild mushrooms, taleggio, and white truffle oil on a thin, crispy crust.

What's the best pizza you've had at Fornino?
