[What To Do In Park Slope When...] You Want to Take Advantage of an Early Spring
Temperatures are supposed to get into the mid-50's this week, which is a sure-fire sign that the Mayans were right: the world is about to end. Since we're all going to die in a few months, we all might as well just throw caution to the wind. Why not elect Rick Santorum to be President? How 'bout we try to boil vodka on a gas stove in a paper cup? And after we've done that, let's all quit our jobs and go to the Botanic Garden!
Until March 11, weekdays are completely free at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. We'd have told you about this back in November when the free days started, but we had no idea that this winter was going to be almost completely snow-free. Also, we don't like you very much. But you've still got a couple of weeks to take advantage of the free weekdays, and since we've just persuaded you to burn your apartment down by boiling vodka (what the hell were you thinking, by the way?), the least we can do is let you know about a choice freebie within walking distance.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to blindfold myself and head up to the roof of my building.
