Whassup: Spring, Bitches!

It's the days of unleavened bread, chocolate eggs, Earth Day and those trees whose pollen smells like a mushroom cellar. That creepy bunny has reared his whiskered little face, which means spring is officially here. Get your annual rebirth on with Whassup!

* Sunday, April 24: Michigan State Fair, Bell House: This might be worth it just for the Eminem look-alike contest, 'cuz it's been awhile since the bleached blonde look was big. Also beers from the Midwest, where they know their suds, along with other mitten-shaped state entertainment. 3pm-7pm, FREE.

* Monday, April 25: SpaceCamp, Union Hall: Shake spring into being with some catchy, party rock. All it takes is three chords, an ass, and...well, that's it. Expect tasty rock morsels a la The Kings, The Police and other appropriate "The" bands. 7:30 doors, $8.

* Friday, April 22: Sexy Earth Day, Babeland Brooklyn: Celebrate the earth with sex--the way this horny little planet always wanted it. Babeland shares "eco-sexy" tips. This means making DIY floggers from bike tire tubes and making sweet, sweet love to Gaia. 6pm, FREE.

* Saturday, April 23: Urban Chicken Farming, Rose Red & Lavendar: Nothing says spring in Brooklyn like hipsters and chickens. Where else but Williamsburg--learn about raising pre-McNuggets in the concrete paradise of NY.12pm, $35.

* Saturday, April 23: Underground Rebel Easter Egg Club, Gowanus: Rebel Bingo. At a "secret location," (note; the Bell House). Loud music, drinking and rebellious bingo. 9pm, $5-$15.

* Wednesday, April 27: How to *Design* Content: Design Bloggers & Their Craft: Erica is breaking her "never go to Williamsburg, ever, ever, ever rule" to speak on a panel at Open Air Modern. She's gonna chat it up about Design Blahgging blogging with her bud Nicole from Sketch42 Blog and Emilie Baltz from Core77. 7-9pm, FREE.

* Wednesday, April 27: Artisanal Food Panel, Brooklyn Brewery: Putting the anal back in artisanal (doesn't make sense--doesn't have to) this panel brings BK foodies together to talk about local delights. Featured guest Red Hook Lobster Pound speaks all things clawed, selling lobster rolls. Also hear drool-worthy wisdom from Robicelli's Sweet Deliverance, McClure's Pickles and others. 8-11pm, $5 (includes one free beer).

* Friday, April 29: '90's Nostalgia at Bar Reis: Come celebrate the '90's, a time when we were young, too, like the newly awakened birds, bees and subway ratlets of spring. Watch Pete and Pete, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and other old school TV. Prep for the costume contest of '90's characters. Sample Fruit by the Foot and other forgotten candy with your first drink. And sing along to '90's music, including TV and videogame themes. 10pm.
