WHASSUP: Halloween Weekend

A whollllle lotta shit's going down this weekend for Halloween, so let's get this thing started:

*Saturday, Oct 30: Bash by the bridge. All Hallow's Eve party hosted by the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy to raise funds for free public programming in the park. (This BALLLER highly supports this park.) 8pm to 1am: drinks, dancing, tickets.

*Sunday, Oct 31: General store. King's County General Store being generally awesome promoting all things local for Halloween, from 12-5pm at Southpaw. Yelp-sponsored Halloween party with free admission, drink specials, and yes, you can even bring the kids. Get more info, and say hi if you see me, elusive and enigmatic as I am.

*Sunday, Oct 31: Canine costume contest. Make your dog miserable by dressing him up for prizes! 2pm canine costume contest at the Brooklyn Dog House, which is here.

*Sunday, Oct 31: Howll-o-Ween! 3rd Annual Howlloween Block Bark Party for Sean Casey Animal Rescue. Food, raffles, and, of course, animal costume contest. 12-5pm. Details here.

*Sunday, Oct 31: Mad Men Halloween party. Mad Men-themed Halloween costume party at Slope's Aussie hang, Sheep Station, that's also a benefit for WomenForWomen. Put on your best Joan boobs and support microfinance. 7:30 doors, costume contest at 10. Details here.

Also, our buds at Brokelyn also have a sweet free 'n' cheap roundup that's worth checking out (and yes, they even include stuff to do in ProPark with your miserable offspring).

Thanks for sending along your haps (no, the East Village and Bushwick still do not count as "Park Slope and surrounding areas," but good try, yet again), even if you flood my inbox. Now go get drunk with your Slope self in your sluttiest garb and enjoy the weekend.
