WATCH OUT: Perv At The 7th Ave Subz

Yo, Park Slope. We just received this alarming scoop from a FIPS reader about some creepy dude at the 7th Ave subway station. She didn't say whether it was 7th Ave Q/B or 7th Ave F/G so watch your asses at both till she emails me back with clarification. It's the 7th Ave F/G, so if you see something, just fucking say something.

"Over the past month, I've had three rather scary run-ins with the same  (and to be honest, seemingly unhinged) man in the 7th Avenue Park Slope subway station and have filed two reports with 911. All three incidents occured on weeknights between about 9 and 10 PM, as I was commuting home from my office.  The man in question is about 5'7", has dark hair and and olive complexion, and all three times has been wearing a silver Yankees baseball cap, baggy jeans, and a read hooded jacket.

This man has twice crept up behind me silently as I was exiting the station.  Once, I heard a moaning sound, beneath me and when I looked down he was masterbating masturbating beneath me.  Another time, he grabbed me lewdly until I screamed bloody murder and a small crowd gathered -- at which point he bolted back down the steps into the station.  Earlier this evening, I happened to spot him masturbating behind a pole and he began to follow me once more until I screamed at him, threatening to call the police.  This occured at a time when the station was mostly empty and unfortunately, there was no station attendant.  I was later informed by the police that there will no longer be a station attendant there.

In my personal and very strong opinion, the response of the local police has been extremely lacking.  I really do feel that unless some action is taken, there is a very unfortunate danger of sexual assault in this subway station.  I am writing in hopes that you may be able to help with at least one of the following: 1.) Foremost, I hope that Park Slope citizens, especially women, might be warned, so they know to exercise caution in this station.  2.) I really hope to gather some community momentum to advocate for a station attendant.  If something were to happen in the subway station, a victim would not even have the cell phone signal to call the police.

Please consider urging caution in the 7th Avenue Subway Station."
