Vote For Us: Campaigning for Curbed's Best Neighborhood of 2010
Yes, I know. I'm a hypocrite. But the minute I saw this little post about Curbed's Annual Best Neighborhood contest, my mission in life became winning the recognition for Park Slope that I'm not entirely sure we really deserve (but I want anyway).
This is our now, people.
Yes, we kind of suck a lot of the time, but an argument could be made (better by somebody else than me) that Park Slope IS the best neighborhood in this benighted cesspool of a glorious city.
So, can we bring it, folks?
Harness the power of our talent for self-promotion and do what we need to do to win this thing.
"This year the Curbed Cup will return to its bracket-style, 16-neighborhood format, and the selection committee needs input before the seeding is set. Think a certain neighborhood should make the big dance? Tell us why! The best arguments will be used to help sway fellow Curbed Cup voters once the contest kicks off. You can state your case in the comments on this post, or e-mail us your nominations."
I think we can.
I know we can.
I mean, I know for sure we're a damn site better than that little hipster upstart, Williamsburg, even if they are hosting the International Dreidel Spinning World Championships tonight (this is a lie; i don't remember when it is). We're cool too! Sometimes! Well, not often. But occasionally!
