New Spin Studio, Cycle Bar, To Open In The Slope

Ok, so we can officially cross one thing off of our "should be in the Slope but isn't" list: a spin studio!

Cycle Bar, located at 274 Fifth Ave, between Garfield & 1st is going to offer 45-minute, 60-minute and 90-minute spinning classes

“I’m a runner, and I started cycling more seriously when I got bored of running,” says Lisa Craig, Cycle Bar’s co-owner. “There are so few cardio options in Park Slope. There are lots of yoga and Pilates studios, and we have the big gyms. But we view this boutique-fitness model as the antidote to the big gym experience.”

Classes are either $27 (for 45 or 60 mins) or $30 (for 90 mins) but if you buy a multi-class package, you'll get a discount...AND they'll even loan you spinning shoes. An open house is currently scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 18th, and you can find way more info on their site.

Before I had such a fat ass, I actually used to go spinning every day and I totally loved it. Maybe this is a sign that I should try again? I mean, I have great health insurance, so if I have a heart attack, I won't be sweatin it! (pun totally intended).
