FiPS takes credit for a lot of things: the discovery of the Higgs Boson, the existence of corgis, the release of the Mitt Romney's secret footage (and this video, too), etc. Some things we probably shouldn't -- though David Corn totally is our Coop spy. But Just Salad taking up residence in Park Slope? That one's alllllll us, yo.

We told you last week that Just Salad was coming into Seventh Avenue space for the former, much-hated Parkslope Eatery. When the place finally tanked in June (there is a god?) we cried out, Hark! Salad cometh?! and our prayers have been answerd...answeredth!

I spoke to Jennifer Konde, Director of Customer Relations at Just Salad HQ, who told me:

We are very excited about coming to your neighborhood! We were scouting the Park Slope neighborhood for over two years, and seeing your blog post a few months ago absolutely reaffirmed our decision to open up shop there. This Winter 2012, we will be opening our store at 252 7th Avenue in Brooklyn. This location will not only serve lunch, but will be open until 10 PM. Our menu offerings will be pretty much the same (with a few surprises!).
