Brooklyn Brewery Brews a Beer For Lewis Skolnick

Nerds sure do know how to party! Other than the scene where the Tri-Lambs perform that sweetass musical number in the first Revenge of the Nerds film, my fave scenes in the Nerds saga are the ones when the Tri-Lambs throw bitchin' parties where everyone gets wasted, Booger chases the babes around & we all have a hearty chuckle at the nerds' collective shenanigans.

[My Favorite Park Slope...]: Place to Be A Nerd

I don't hide my nerdiness for comics. I embrace it.

And with the upcoming cinematic summer full of movies like The Avengers, Spider Man and Dark Knight Rising, even non-nerds are going to geek out over comics, which is awesome. Park Slope, while known for many splendid attributes, doesn't really come across as a "Comic Book Mecca," yet it kind of is. We have three comic shops in the nabe -- Bergen Street Comics, Galaxy Collectibles, Brooklyn Comics and More  -- and in November, King Con, Brooklyn's own mini Comic-Con, will be returning to its home at the Lyceum Theatre on Union and 4th Ave. In addition, Park Slope is home to many talented comic writers and illustrations, some of whom I've profiled on FIPS
