POLITICALLY CORRECT 'GREEN' DRYCLEANER COMING TO PARK SLOPE
FINALLY!
Now in addition to our politically correct community based Food Coop, our politically correct recycling program, and our politically correct gay children's hat support society, we can f-i-n-a-f-u-c-k-i-n-g-l-y add a politically correct dry cleaner!
Green Apple Cleaners is having its grand opening on April 1 (*UNLESS* this is all part of a FIPS engineered April Fool's joke??? Hmmm). As you can see from the scanned copy of the printed on recycled paper flyer I received on my way down into the Q train this morn (NO, Benjamin et al...I did NOT see Nora again), Green Apple is:
*NY's only CO2 dry cleaner (whatever the hell that means)
*Rated #1 by Consumer Reports AND Greenpeace (HA! Greenpeace rates dry cleaners now!? WTF??)
*AND it was selected as one of "America's Best CleanersTM"
Here's the thing: I'm all for being green (well mostly...I'm not gonna lie, I'm also VERY fucking lazy, so I def tend toward easy green shit), but my main concern is gonna be: does this organic drycleaning bullshit ACTUALLY get your clothes clean??
Cause I bought some organic, non-toxic, vegan stupid dish washing detergent recently and I swear to GAWD, after running the dishwasher, Greg was like "uh...did you forget to turn it on??" Our shit looked just as dirty AFTER it was cleaned as it did before. FAIL.
So, fine. I'm willing to *TRY* being Green if:
*its not 10 x more expensive
*it works.
They do have a cool little coupon for .01 a pound wash/fold (30 pounds max) when you bring in dry cleaning, so that's kinda cuil.
So, fill us in: you guys gonna go green with your dry cleaning??

Big fucking deal. There's been a "green" dry cleaner on the corner of 4th Street and 6th Avenue for years. Come on! Wake up and get with the program.
Love,
Mackey
