Park Slope Ice Cream Shops snubbed in Foursquare's Game of Cones

We may have the highest per capita number of frozen yogurt shops in the country* here in Park Slope, but we are shit out of luck when it comes to an ice cream shop hip enough to take part in foursquare's Game of Cones contest (ahem, promotional tie-in with HBO). From June 7th through June 21st, New Yorkers and San Franciscans can check in on foursquare whenever they visit their favorite neighborhood ice cream shops. Brooklyn is ably represented by Blue Marble, Ample Hills, and Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. Sadly, Uncle Louie G's didn't make the cut. And while Van Leeuwen is on there, I don't think checking in a the truck on 7th Avenue counts. So, if you live in the Slope and you want to take part, you'll have to shlep your fat ass to Prospect Heights, Boerum Hill, or Cobble Hill starting tomorrow. No word yet if any of them will have a Red Wedding flavor.

*I have no idea if that is a fact. It might just seem that way.
