Park Slope Art gallery launches its member show

VIA Betty Blade/Flickr

Fellow artsy Slopers, if you step out tonight in this monsoon, consider checking out the nabe's hole-in-the-wall 440 Gallery. The co-op gallery is kicking off the season with a member-based exhibit.

The opening reception for you art lovers, Lisa Frank enthusiasts aside, is tonight from 6-9pm. Much like my connect-the-dots paintings, the theme is Convergence and is curated by Daniel Weiner. The show will include a range of styles, including painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture by 14 local artists. The exhibit is open to the public through October 16, so aesthetes can also get their appreciation on when it's not so rainy.
