[My Favorite Park Slope]: Samosa

Photo via www.zorsebol.com

I've had many Samosas in my day, but so far none have compared to the ones they have at Amin Indian on 7th ave and Union between Lincoln and St. John's.

In case you don’t know what a Samosa is and are too lazy to Google it (backhand to the face), I will tell you: it is a flaky, crispy, delicious pastry enveloped around spicy meat or vegetables. My particular favorite -- and the only thing I actually order in this place because once I discovered it there was no reason to try anything else —is the vegetable Samosa.

I’m not really sure which veggies they pack into this Indian hot pocket (kinda' looks like potatoes and peas), but it is some GOOD SHIT. And not only that, it’s cheap ($2.95)! Also, don’t forget to ask for the green sauc. Not really sure what’s in that either, but who cares? It’s delicious! You’re welcome.
