Here's To Never Again Wondering, "Fuck. Where did I park?!"

MARK LENNIHAN/ASSOCIATED PRESS via NY Daily News

In most places, if you see a person frantically pacing up and down the block muttering and cursing and hitting themselves in the head, you'd give a wide berth and think to yourself, "crazy person alert." But, if you're in Park Slope and it's a certain time of day, chances are that person walked out of their home to move their car for Alternate Side and realized they had no freakin' clue where they last parked the fucking car. No? Just me?

I've tried writing it down in my calendar, which only works when I actually remember to write it down in my calendar. I've looked up apps that also require you to write something down. Inevitably, there's that one time you park, and you forget to write that shit down, and two days later you're walking up and down the street, muttering, cursing, tearing your hair out.

But, a friend tipped me off to this new app/device called Find My Car Smarter. It works using bluetooth (only with iPhone 5 or 4S), and you plug the charger-thing in the car, and add your phone as a connected bluetooth device, and when you leave your car, it remembers where you parked without you having to do a single thing:

The Find My Car Smarter system automatically saves your parking location. There is no fidgeting with your phone every time you park. With the Find My Car Smarter system, your iPhone will automatically remember the last place you parked. The only time you have to launch the app is after you have realized that you have lost your car, not before.

Genius!
