You know that tiny sliver of sunlight that spills into your apartment in the late afternoon? Straight out of some crappy film starring Jennifer Connelly, a pair of filmmakers with one child (and a large disposable income) reworked a triplex to include more space and light. Laura Lau and Chris Kentis fell in love with the central Park Slope location and replaced flooring with translucent glass, among other things. During the day, the floors acted as a skylight for the whole home and at night, lights made of plumbing pipes make the apartment glow like a nightlight.
