HELP TWO BOOTS PIZZA SHUTTLE SUPPLIES TO HARD-HIT AREAS TODAY

Photo via www.surfingmagazine.com

Though donating money to the Red Cross is a fantastic way to contribute in the relief efforts of Hurricane Sandy, there are people in immediate need that those donations may not get to right away -- people in the Rockaways and Breezy Point, for example. Two Boots Brooklyn is making a supply run out to those people today, so if you can help out, please see below:

"Due to lack of communication many relief centers have too much while others do not have enough. Following the surge of volunteers this past weekend, the areas hardest hit are still in need.

Today we we are going to areas that are not near the centers in an effort to reach those unable or too frightened to leave their homes. We are in contact with a National Guardsman who will direct us do the under-served neighborhoods.

We are sending hot food and sandwiches. We could use:

-driver with van to go to SI today
-driver with van to go to Coney Island
-water
-bread, cold cuts
-protein bars
-ready to eat food (there is no power or gas for cooking in many areas)
-cleaning supplies, bleach, paper towels, mops
-juice boxes
-snacks for kids

All drivers are welcome. Anyone looking to volunteer, please call us at about 10:30am. We will likely need you at noon. (718)499-3253

PLEASE NO MORE CLOTHING

Thank you so much for your care and generosity."
