Giant robot-like apartment building coming to 5th avenue!
Park Slope's own 5th avenue will soon be the site of a shiny new apartment building. And not just a regular, run-of-the-mill shiny building -- it will be a MEGA SHINY one that will probably look less like a building and more like a robot. This is because of its environmentally-powered awesomeness. That's right, bitches. This building will be run solely by the power of the sun and wind. Pretty badass, right?
No official artist renderings of the building yet exist, but we do know that there will be six units in the place, so only a few peeps will enjoy the bragging rights of living in a green building. The units will run anywhere between $1,600 and $2,600/month, and a lounge and restaurant are expected to be built in the ground floor of the building.
I haven't decided if living above a lounge would be a good or a bad thing, but I wouldn't mind shacking up in a solar- powered robot.
Thoughts?
