GETTIN' IT RIGHT: Yamato

Gettin' It Right is our new semi-regularish column where we call out a Park Slope biz that deserves an online pat on the ass for doing something that's not totally fucking stupid. Today's nominee: Yamato!

OK, seriously: Yamato. I adore this place. I could legit go on for forty years on how nice the wait staff is alone, but what I'm really here to talk about? Shit's good. Always.

First off, let's talk lunch special. Entree, rice, soup, salad, roll and rice -- and the most expensive on is like, a whopping $9. If you can tell me any other place that'll give you that much food that's not only palatable, but GOOD, for that cheap, I need to know immeeds. Dinner's the shit, too. If someone wants to feed me that Chili Salmon or Shrimp with XO Sauce for the rest of my life, gimmie a ringy.

So kudos, Yamato, for being consistently awesome and standing out from many of the other nine katrilion Asian places around here. (Though you should probably turn down the volume of your waterfall in the garden, because I occasionally like to hear myself think.) I may not come to you all the time, but when I do, you're always Gettin' It Right.
